Hello! I'm Marzeta.
I do my best to live out loud in the space where work, life, service, and exploration (food, travel, people!) intersect.
I love designing the strategy that makes ideas happen for and with big thinking people and organisations, and they love how I pull together pieces of a future vision into an actionable plan when we work together. At the end of the day, what they really get is clarity, focus, excitement, and energy. Because I’m more than just a strategist ... I’m an activator and shift-maker.
I also create projects of my own

Right now I'm ...
Learning: During my mandatory school years, I learned to play many instruments (clarinet, saxophone, flute, piccolo, and steel pan) and was always drawn to the piano but never took it on. In the nearly 20 years since I’ve regularly played any instrument, I have remained interested in the piano. I had been considering lessons for a while and finally decided to begin. After all ... what am I waiting for? I started lessons with Spark! School of Performing Arts in January 2021. My weekly lessons with Amelia are absolutely re-igniting the artist within. I’m loving the challenge and all the experiences and emotions of being a beginner again.
Teaching: Each Sunday morning I teach yoga at AgileFit Fitness Facility, a boutique gym outfit that I’ve been working with since February 2020 - five months after I did hatha yoga teacher training in India. I’ve also guided a few yoga and meditation sessions for local retreats. It feels like a privilege to support people in re-connecting their mind, body, and soul as well as learning the many life lessons that apply both on and off the mat.
Reflecting and daydreaming: The coronavirus pandemic continues to impact my ability to safely travel and while I’m looking forward to when I can travel again, I’m daydreaming and reflecting on the 6-month trip I took in 2019, right before the pandemic began. After about 10 years of dreaming, scheming, saving, and delaying (for good reasons!), I finally took some time off in 2019 to travel. I was on the road for 6 months. In July and August, I was in St Lucia for Carnival and Barbados for Cropover, in late August, I visited Quebec City and Montreal, Canada. Then, I headed to India for a whirlwind tour of the Golden Triangle, four weeks at an ashram in Rishikesh, and one week in the Himayalas. After six weeks of reconnecting my mind, body, and soul, I set off on a 30-day tour of Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Laos, followed by a week in Bali, Indonesia and an action-packed 12-hour layover in Malaysia on my way to Sri Lanka for surfing, a safari, an epic train ride, and lots of tea sipping. I ended the journey in Asia’s world city, Hong Kong and returned to the Cayman Islands in January 2020. I was microblogging on Instagram during this incredible experience with the hashtag: #MarzetaIn. Check it out!
Staycationing: International travel may not be an option right now; however, I’m blessed to live in a country that has no community transmission of COVID-19 and we are living with an incredible level of freedom without fear for personal health and well-being. I’m looking forward to upcoming staycations here on Grand Cayman as well as on the sister islands.
